James Madison Legacy Project Expansion
A Project To Empower Underserved Students
James Madison Legacy Project Expansion: Empowering Underserved Students for Informed, Thoughtful, and Productive Citizenship is an exciting project designed to employ professional learning to improve instruction of the We the People: The Citizen and the Constitution curriculum for students in middle and high school.
How JMLPE was Developed
Working with expert teachers and consultants, the Center for Civic Education developed new resources for We the People educators. These resources encourage instruction that fosters positive civics and social-emotional learning (SEL) outcomes among English learners, students with disabilities, and students of color.
