An evaluation of the “Promoting Youth Participation in Local Government in Indonesia” program found that young people participating in the Indonesian adaptation of the Center’s Project Citizen curricular program were significantly more positive in their attitudes about effecting change in government and community institutions as compared to the control group. Surveys of participating teachers, including those who utilized the Indonesian elementary school level adaptation of the Center’s Foundations of Democracy curricular program, indicated positive effects on teaching and learning and changes in student attitudes and skills.
